- **Adjective + noun combinations:**

- **Wh-questions: What? When? Whose?**
  - What do you do on Mondays?
  - When is your birthday?
  - Whose pencil is this?
- **Have to / Has to:** zorunluluk bildirir
  - I **have to** clean my room.
  - She **has to** do her homework.
  - **Sık hata:** "She have to" → "She **has to**" (he/she/it → has to)

### Lexis
- **Chores:** wash the dishes, make the bed, tidy the room, vacuum, iron, sweep
- **Furniture:** table, chair, sofa, bed, wardrobe, bookshelf, desk, lamp
- **Days of week:** Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- **Money:** coin, note, pay, cost, change, price, expensive, cheap

### Grammar
- **Can and can't (ability):**
  - She **can** swim very well.
  - He **can't** ride a bike.
  - **Kural:** can + Verb1 (yalın fiil) — can'den sonra -ing, -s, to gelmez
  - **Sık hata:** "He can dances" → "He can **dance**"
- **Wh-Questions: Who? What? Which? How? Why? Where?**
  - Who is your best friend?
  - Which color do you like?
  - How are you?
  - Why are you sad?
  - Where do you live?
- **Common and irregular nouns:**
  - Regular: book → books, pen → pens
  - Irregular: man → men, woman → women, child → children, foot → feet, tooth → teeth, mouse → mice
- **Linker: because** — neden bildirir
  - I am happy **because** it's my birthday.
  - She can't come **because** she is sick.

### Lexis

### Grammar
- **Past Simple Tense — to be (was/were):**
  - **Affirmative:** I **was** at home. / They **were** at school.
  - **Negative:** I **wasn't** at home. / They **weren't** at school.
  - **Interrogative:** **Was** I at home? / **Were** they at school?
  - **Kural:** I/he/she/it → was / we/you/they → were
  - **Sık hata:** "She were happy" → "She **was** happy"
- **Comparatives:**
  - Short adjectives: tall → taller, big → bigger, hot → hotter (double consonant)
  - Long adjectives: beautiful → more beautiful
  - Irregular: good → better, bad → worse, far → further
  - **Than:** My brother is **taller than** me.

- **How does it taste/smell/look/feel?**

- **Adjectives of state:** hungry, thirsty, tired, cold, sad, happy

- **Like + N / Gerund:**
  - I like **pizza**. (noun)
  - I like **swimming**. (gerund — Ving)
  - She likes **reading** books.
  - **Sık hata:** "She likes play" → "She likes **playing**"
  - **Alternatif:** like + to + V1 de doğru: "She likes **to play** tennis."
  - **⚠️ want tuzağı:** want → sadece to + V1: "She wants **to play**." / "She wants playing" ❌
- **Tenses for likes and dislikes:**
  - I **like** swimming. / I **don't like** running.
  - He **loves** pizza. / He **hates** vegetables.

- **There is / There are:**
  - **There is** + tekil: There is a book on the table.
  - **There are** + çoğul: There are three books on the table.
  - **Sık hata:** "There are a book" → "There **is** a book"
  - **Soru:** Is there...? / Are there...?
  - **Olumsuz:** There isn't... / There aren't...
- **Some / any / a lot of:**
  - **Some:** olumlu cümlelerde — I have **some** apples.
  - **Any:** olumsuz ve sorularda — I don't have **any** apples. / Do you have **any** apples?
  - **A lot of:** her ikisinde de — There are **a lot of** people.
  - **Sık hata:** "I have any money" → "I have **some** money" (olumsuzda any, olumluda some)
- **Countable and uncountable nouns:**
  - Countable: apple, book, chair, pen, student (a/an + singular, -s + plural)
  - Uncountable: water, milk, bread, rice, money, music (no a/an, no plural -s)
  - **Sık hata:** "a water" → "**some** water" / "waters" ❌
- **Quantities of food:**
  - a kilo of rice, a bottle of water, a piece of cake, a glass of milk, a packet of biscuits

- **Past Simple Tense — to be (was/were) (tekrar ve derinleştirme):**

  - **Kısa cevap:** Was he...? → Yes, he **was**. / No, he **wasn't**.
- **Enough:** yeterlilik bildirir
  - adjective + enough: Is it **warm enough**? / He is **old enough** to drive.
  - enough + noun: I have **enough money**. / Do you have **enough time**?
  - **Sık hata:** "enough warm" → "**warm enough**" (enough sıfattan SONRA gelir)
  - **Sık hata:** "enough warm" (sıfat + enough, enough + isim)

### Lexis
- **Breakfast, lunch, supper, dinner:**
  - Breakfast: sabah kahvaltısı (the first meal of the day)
  - Lunch: öğle yemeği
  - Dinner: akşam yemeği (main meal)
  - Supper: geç akşam yemeği (light meal before bed)

### Grammar
- **Past Simple Tense — regular and irregular verbs:**
  - **Regular verbs (+ed):** walk → walked, play → played, watch → watched, clean → cleaned
    - Spelling: stop → stopped (double consonant), study → studied (y → ied)
  - **Irregular verbs:** go → **went**, see → **saw**, eat → **ate**, have → **had**, be → **was/were**, get → **got**
    - Diğer yaygın irregulars: buy → bought, bring → brought, catch → caught, teach → taught, think → thought, find → found, make → made, take → took, give → gave, run → ran, swim → swam, sit → sat, stand → stood, write → wrote, read → read (yazılış aynı, okunuş farklı), sleep → slept, sweep → swept
  - **Affirmative:** She **went** to school yesterday.
  - **Negative:** She **didn't go** to school. (didn't + V1 — fiil yalın!)
    - **Sık hata:** "She didn't went" → "She didn't **go**" (did/didn't'ten sonra fiil yalın)
  - **Interrogative:** **Did** she **go** to school? — Yes, she **did**. / No, she **didn't**.
